Our clients have been busy navigating the ups and downs of the past six months, pivoting to meet changes in their respective markets, launching new services and helping guide their own customers through the disruption.

No business has escaped the tough times, however whenever adversity rears its head, opportunities arise too.

Often in economic downturns, talented entrepreneurs spot something that needs improving – a business process or an entire sector – and kick into gear once past the bumps in the road. The boldest innovators are even more inventive and found their business rain or shine.

One of our newest clients, Detected – the world’s first agnostic business verification platform – fits that bill. Led by the charismatic Liam Chennells, Detected is out to solve a critical issue with B2B Digital Commerce – can you trust the company you’re trading with?

Detected enables B2B buyers and sellers to trade with confidence. Platform and marketplace agnostic, Detected uses thousands of data points to confirm a buyer or seller’s identity, location, solvency and capability in seconds. This automated validation is refreshed month after month, eliminating the need for ongoing time-consuming and manual due diligence.

It’s an exciting vision and we’re thrilled to be part of it.

Building something of this scale needs talent, experience and knowledge. Overseeing the development and impending commercialisation of Detected’s AI-powered platform is Peter Youell, Detected’s new Chief Technology Officer.

Peter has been in software development for over 15 years, building high performing engineering teams and leading the delivery on some of the UK’s largest eCommerce projects. Peter’s experience spans leadership roles at Astound Commerce, Oracle, Tryzens and InventCommerce, and his most recent position – VP, Technology at Astound Commerce – saw Peter grow the company’s UK business to 55 people and 60+ clients (from five and three on arrival).

This appointment news has been covered in Information Age, National Cyber Security News Today and Financial IT and is the first of many announcements on the horizon for Detected. Keep an eye on our blog for future news.

Please email us if you would like to speak to Detected about its mission and vision or to interview Liam and the team.
